This unique educational experience will provide 60 high school students, ranging from 9th grade to 12th grade, with the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Kansas City! The idea to experience a bilingual "Urban Hike" through KC was designed by their student group sponsor and the CEO of Urban Hikes KC.
Many students, especially newcomers at Schlagle, have not been outside their immediate community to tour the city or nearby places. Explore is supporting their idea for students to experience the diversity, beauty, and learn about the history of their new home and city.
To make this field trip possible, the teachers of Schlagle are requesting funding support to go towards the cost of admission and transportation for their students.
