Field Trip Description:
As the launch for this middle school's interdisciplinary project, over 680 middle school students will visit the Titanic Exhibit at Union Station! This immersive field trip will allow students to explore more than 200 authentic artifacts recovered from the famous shipwreck, connecting their classroom learning to a tangible historical experience.
Through guided exploration of the exhibit, students will gain a deeper appreciation for how artifacts are preserved, curated, and used to tell compelling stories about the past. This field trip is intended to ignite curiosity, support critical thinking about how history is represented, and inspire students to consider the human experiences behind historical events.
How You Can Help:
To make this opportunity possible for every student, we are seeking support through the Explore Foundation's website to help cover admission costs for more than 400 DMS students (funding for the admission of 280 students is already secured ). Our goal is to raise $4,600, and any donation—big or small—makes a difference. Any additional funds raised will be used to purchase extra tickets for students.
Donations, which are tax-deductible, can be made either by individuals or by a business. All donations, unless marked as anonymous, will be included in the Explore Foundation's Impact report.
Business donations will have the added benefits listed below by becoming a community partner.
